Description
Just some illustrations of one of my fav childhood fables. You know, the ant works all day long while the cricket spends his time singing and basically having a good time all while rubbing it in the ant's face like a true neighbor. However when winter comes he realizes he's a hobo. He's got no food, no place to stay, and he's probably going to die. But the ant takes pity on the stupid idiot and the tale ends up having a happy end after all.
I wanted to practice drawing the sketches directly in photoshop. I'm proud it didn't turn out too bad! ( since usually I can't draw good sketches on a tablet to save my life. I always use the scanner. ) Boo-ya!

OH NOES there's a second version diffused in Italy that has a bad end D: the ant say the cricket is a stupid idiot and leave him out. The moral of the story simply is that only your providence for the future can save you. That's the reason I hated that tale and I figured in my head a final similar to this one. Nice work in illustrating characters (:
